Magnetic Resonance Imaging is a video made from a ten-year collection of medical procedures. The anxiety-producing sounds paired with numerous scans demonstrate the insecurity of health while living with Crohn’s Disease. This collection uses medical imagery and rhythmic pacing to describe how gastro-intestinal diseases fluctuate throughout time. The video amplifies the experiences of individuals living with chronic pain by making an invisible illness visible and auditory. The work reexamines what bodies are normal and healthy and offers space for empathy and reflection.
