I have always been an artist but I haven’t always been sick. Bereavement showcases fragmented bodies as illustrations of grieving often experienced in chronically ill and disabled lifetimes. These collages illuminate, unapologetically, realities overlooked due to able-bodied archetypes. This series fractures ableist conceptions by visually turning insides outwards- rendering the invisible as jarringly visible. We grieve and then we keep living.
